Vegan Festival LogoSouthampton’s first vegan festival takes place this weekend (November 4/5).

Organisers say in recent years veganism has grown in popularity at a remarkable rate and as a result vegan festivals are popping up around the country.

They say: “The Southampton Vegan Festival is a fun weekend for all, especially if you’re interested in exploring new things. There will be a vast array of stallholders, all showcasing various products, from sweet treats to skincare and clothing to gifts.

“There is also an exciting talks schedule and activities schedule, with a variety of talks on topics such as animal welfare and the environment, as well as cookery demos, yoga sessions and meditations. Doors open at 10:30 until 17:00 both days so there is plenty of time to explore. You don’t have to be vegan to attend so why not come along for a fun day out and see what all the fuss is about”.

This event takes place at Oceana, Leisureworld SO15 1RE. For more information on the Southampton Vegan Festival, visit www.southamptonveganfestival.co.uk
