A new “fun and sociable” bar serving dinner and drinks has sprung up in the former dock o' the bay premises on The Avenue.
Family-run Foobar1, which opened on August 2, is described by manager Katie Lawton as “a fun and sociable place to come for a drink, with plenty of options and some dinner”.
“The food is fantastic: I know this as I have eaten most of what’s on the menu myself! We have an award-winning chef who prides himself on every dish he makes. The meals are full of flavour and very mouth watering. Where ever possible we try to source all our food locally. Most of what is on our menu is gluten free – for example our battered fish & chips, and steak & ale pie.”
The dock o' the bay closed earlier in the year: see previously.
Fooba1 is at 69 The Avenue, Southampton SO17 1XS, and open from noon until 12.30am..
