godfrey collyer outside st denys schoolThe Friends of Portswood Library present a talk on the Mayflower on April 19.

In the summer of 1620 the Mayflower was in Southampton for two weeks.

This short talk, by See Southampton guide Godfrey Collyer, pictured, explains the important role that Southampton played in the preparations for her voyage and the twelve critical events that took place in the old town.

Friends chair David Wardle said that 49 people attended the last talk at the library. The Mayflower talk starts at 7pm.
